Pre wedding photography at Saltmarshe Hall with Natalie and Hayden

On Monday we met up with Natalie and Hayden for their pre wedding meeting and photoshoot. It was a lovely evening and the gardens at Saltmarshe Hall looked stunning. Saltmarshe Hall is a fabulous venue and location for a wedding. It offers some stunning backdrops for photography both inside and outside. It is rare that a wedding photographer has so many beautiful options to choose from!

We met Natalie and Hayden in the library where we all enjoyed a cup of coffee whilst chatting through their plans for the wedding. After this we headed out into the gardens to decide on the best locations for their wedding photographs.

Natalie and Hayden are a lovely couple who were very relaxed in front of the camera. We are very much looking forward to photographing their special day.

A Beverley Wedding with Hannah and James

On Saturday Hannah and James had their wedding at Beverley Minster. It was a lovely bright spring day with plenty of sunshine.

With the current restrictions surrounding COVID, the wedding had to be arranged with limited numbers. Despite a smaller number of guests it was still a beautiful day, filled with lots of laughter and happiness, and those who were unable to attend were able to watch courtesy of a live stream.

I think it is the first time we have seen a bride and groom sing at their own wedding. It was quite a treat for their guests and added such a lovely personal touch to the day.

It has been a while since we photographed a wedding but within five minutes it felt as if we had never been away. Hannah and James’s family and friends were a delight to work with and we had lots of laughs throughout the day.

Beverley Minster provides a perfect backdrop for wedding photography. However, the bright contrasty sunshine was a little challenging for us at times! Despite this and thanks to the happy couples patience and good humour, we were able to capture some stunning photographs for them.

We wish Hannah and James every happiness in their future life together and look forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photography with them very soon.

Pre Wedding Photoshoot with Hannah and James

On Friday morning we met up with Hannah and James who are getting married soon. It was a chilly morning and we started bright and early. It is almost eight months since we did our last pre wedding photography shoot, so it was lovely to be working again.

Hannah and James are planning an intimate wedding at Beverley Minster later this month. Numbers are restricted so there will be a live video stream for those who are unable to attend in person.  Our job will be to take the wedding photographs.

We had great fun working with Hannah and James who were very relaxed in front of the camera. As wedding photographers, we always offer a complimentary pre wedding photo shoot to all of our clients. It provides a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know them and a chance to see how they are in front of the camera.

The pre shoot helps to ensure that we offer the best possible photography service on the wedding day. It gives each couple a chance to get used to being in front of a professional photographer before the big day. This builds trust and confidence and ensures that we can always deliver excellent results.

Hannah and James are a delightful couple and we are looking forward to photographing their wedding.

An intimate wedding with Susan and Ashley

Yesterday we photographed the wedding of Susan and Ashley, who married in Etton Church, in East Yorkshire. They were originally due to be married in June this year, but owing to the COVID pandemic, they had to rearrange.

Susan and Ashley were joined by a small number of close family and friends. This was due to the current restrictions on weddings. All the congregation, with the exception of the bride and groom, had to wear face masks during the service. In addition, everyone had to adhere to the rules regarding social distancing.

This was our first wedding following lockdown and the biggest challenge for us was not wearing a mask. Our biggest enemy yesterday was the good old British weather! It is not the first time that we have photographed a bride and groom in a howling gale, and I am sure it will not be the last! We could barely keep our feet such was the force of the wind!

The bride arrived with her mother and the first ‘hat chase’ of the day began with much laughter! The vicar was quick off the mark and managed to retrieve mum Lesley’s hat before she escorted Susan down the aisle.

The service was delivered with humour and the vicar was sensitive to the the unusual circumstances. There were no hymns, but the vicar made good use of recorded music to create some atmosphere.

Hair and hats flew daintily along with the confetti and to say the weather was wild at this point would be an understatement. Despite this, Susan and Ashley and their guests braved the elements with good humour. This meant that we were able to photograph the family group quickly despite the wind.

We concluded our photography with photographs of the bride and groom.

Susan and Ashley are a lovely couple. We wish them every happiness in their future life together.

Pre Wedding Photography with Susan and Ashley

Well after almost four months in lock down, it is wonderful to actually get back to photography.

Yesterday we met up with Susan and Ashley who are getting married in August. Despite the government restrictions, which means that numbers are restricted, this lovely couple are having a beautiful church service. They will be joined on the day by a small group of family and friends.

After a long rest, with most of this years weddings being postponed, it was great to pick up a camera again. Susan and Ashley were very easy to work with and it very soon felt like we had never been away!
