Wedding Photography at Cave Castle Hotel with Jess & Phil

Yesterday we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jess and Phil, who were married at All Saints Church, South Cave. We had a fantastic day with them and their family and friends. Jess looked amazing in her Maggie Sottero Dress from Deborah Moore in Hessle. Her make up was done by Hayley Young, who did a fantastic job, as always. Even after a long day in the summer sunshine, Jess’s make up looked just as fresh as it did at the beginning of the day. Phil and the groomsmen hired their suits from Slaters. The cake was by Leni, flowers by Floral Studio, Hessle, and their vintage car ensured that they travelled in style. Reverend Mike at All Saints was a real joy to work with, and made us feel totally welcome. Phil’s Dad Paul delivered the reading, and the happy couple exited the church, in sunshine to the traditional sound of the church bells. Group photographs in the warm sunshine followed before Jess and Phil headed inside for their wedding breakfast. There was not a dry eye in the house, during some very emotional speeches and the bestman Dave, gave a wonderful heartfelt version of Can You Feel the Love, complete with personalised lyrics, to the delight of the crowd and the couple. We had a really lovely day with Jess, Phil and their family and friends, and wish them every happiness in their future life together.

Pre Wedding Photography – Lucy & Rhun

We had a really lovely evening yesterday, doing the pre wedding photography for Lucy & Rhun who are getting married in July. Their church service will be in Sproately and they will be having their reception back at the farm, so we met up with them there to go over the arrangements for their special day. Lucy is keen for her photographs to have a relaxed feel about them and to reflect their farming way of life, and it was a real pleasure to take a stroll around with them and their dog, to look at some of the areas where they would like to have their photographs done. It promises to be a really beautiful occasion and Lucy and Rhun were very easy company and we are very much looking forward to photographing their special day!

Wedding Photography for Natasha & Steven

I am pleased to share with you the preview wedding photography for Natasha and Steven who were married at St Mary’s church in Beverley, yesterday. We started the day at the brides grandparent’s house and were made very welcome by Beattie and Joe. The girls were busy getting ready and as always we took a few photographs of them as well as the all important little details. Natasha looked stunning in her dress from Samantha’s. It was rather special in lots of ways, but particularly because Natasha’s grandad Joe had bought it for her, having heard it was her favourite, but a little more than her budget allowed. After a few photographs of the bride, we headed out to see Steven and his groomsmen at the church. The weather held and before long the guests began to assemble, and we all waited excitedly for the arrival of the bride with dad, Mark. Our thanks to the Vicar Becky who was really very helpful and made our job so much easier. As the happy couple came down the aisle, the sun came out as they headed outside with family and friends to do the group photography. As always, the bells proved a bit of a challenge for us but we had a happy time working with the assembled group. Following a short journey, everyone enjoyed celebratory drinks at the Millhouse Restaurant in Skidby. The couple were greated by the band who came outside to play them out of the car, and into the the Millhouse ready for their reception. The Millhouse is such a lovely location, that we took the opportunity to do a few more photographs of the bride and groom and their attendants after the meal. Natasha and Steven are a great couple and we had a wonderful time photographing their special day. We are very much looking forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photography with them.

Newborn Baby Photography with Zoe

I am really happy to share with you the photographs from a shoot I did this morning with Zoe who is just five days old! She was the perfect little model for me and it was a real joy to work with her.

Our newborn baby photography sessions take place at our studio in Hessle, near Hull. This style of baby photography should ideally be done within the first two weeks of birth as the baby is used to being curled up in a foetal position. Babies are also very sleepy during the first two weeks of their life which is ideal for these kind of photographs. We only take one booking per day for this type of shoot, which means that we can be flexible for new mums, and work around the baby, rather than be working within unrealistic time constraints. We are also happy to include mum and dad or siblings in the shoot if required.

We offer a range of baby photography products and packages that include frames, canvases, boards, acrylics, frames  storybook albums to name but a few. A standard shoot in the studio starts from £150 and includes a print of your choice. All of the props are provided and included in the price, but clients are welcome to bring their own hats, blankets or toys, if they wish to make the shoot more personal. We launder all props after each shoot, so you can be assured that we will take the best care with your precious bundle, and there is no need to worry about little accidents, as this is all in a days work for a Newborn Photographer!

If you are looking for a collection to cherish, we can provide you with a bespoke designed package, that could included a personalised album will the images from your shoot, print boxes and frames.. If you prefer, we can put the full collection on disc or USB for you. Please contact us if you would like further information about our range.

Pre Wedding Photography with Jessica & Phil at Cave Castle Hotel

I am delighted to share with you the pre wedding photography for Jessica and Phil who are getting married later this month. We met up with them on Friday at Cave Castle Hotel where they will be holding their wedding reception for family and friends. It was an ideal day for photography, being a little overcast with little periods of sunshine popping through!  Jess and Phil are a lovely couple and were very relaxed in front of the camera so we are very much looking forward to photographing their wedding day!
