On Saturday we photographed our last wedding of the 2019 season and what a fabulous occasion it was! Rebecca and Ian were married at Cave Castle Hotel in East Yorkshire. We started the day bright and early with Rebecca and her mum Gail, and Bridesmaid Jade, who were busy getting ready when we arrived. Kim Shanks did Rebecca’s hair and Toni Naylor did her make up, whilst we photographed Rebecca beautiful dress which was from Molly Browns of York. We were very happy to find that not only Rebecca was ready early for her bridal portraits, but Ian also arrived early for his portrait session as well! This meant that we had plenty of time to create something special for both of them. Ian had three best men; Alex, Scott and Tom who were busy writing out their speech outside on the terrace when we arrived to do their photographs with Ian. They had a lovely service, but sadly due to the rules of the East Riding Registrar, we were only permitted to take a few photographs of the readings and ring exchange. The happy couple and their guests enjoyed a celebratory drink on the lawn at Cave Castle whilst we undertook the all important family formal photographs. Thanks to the support of toastmaster Michael, we were able to complete this is super fast time which left us a little time to complete the couples wedding portraits. Rebecca and Ian opted for a traditional line up in which they were able to greet their family and friends before sitting down for the wedding breakfast. Pianist Phil Culkin entertained guests during the meal and before the speeches, Ian opened a bottle of champagne with a saber, a technique known as Sabrage, to a big cheer from everyone. Speeches were delivered by both dads, the bride and groom and all three best men to much laughter and applause. The evening entertainments was provided by The Charm Offensive. We had a wonderful day with Rebecca and Ian, and their family and friends, and we wish them every happiness in their future life together.
