As a wedding photographer in the Yorkshire region, I always enjoy the variety of venues that we get to work in, and on Sunday we were at St Mary’s Church in Beverley and afterwards at Lazaat, for the wedding of Helena and Thomas. It was another bright sunny day when we arrived at the brides house and the ladies were busy getting ready. The early part of a wedding day is one of the nicest parts for the wedding photographer, as it tends to be very relaxed and it is a privilege to be party to this section of the wedding. We started our photography for the day, with images of the all important details including Helenas lovely wedding dress which was from Bridal Reloved in Beverley. Once Helena was ready, and her hair and make up were complete, we did some beautiful bridal portraits of her inside, before heading out into the garden to make the most of the good weather. Tom arrived at the church in a chauffuer driven, Aston Martin, and we completed some quick photographs of him and his best man Matthew and ushers Oliver and George. The guests were all bright and early and headed inside the cool church to await the arrival of the bride. Helena arrived in a vintage car accompanied by her dad David. As always, we worked quickly to grab some quick natural photographs of the bridal party before the bride made her entrance in the church. Following the service, guests headed out into the sunshine and we were able complete one of the most challenging parts of a photographers day; the formal group photographs. We managed to find a shady spot to do our photography and soon guests were on their way to celebrate at Lazaat, near Cottingham. The reception room looked amazing with a beautiful display of cupcakes that were supplied by Mary Baker of Driffield. I must say a very big thank you to Helena and Tom as we were lucky enough to join the guests for a wonderful meal! After dinner came the all important speeches that provided many laughs for the aseembled guests. We had a really wonderful day with Helena and Tom and we wish them every happiness in their future life together.
