A Wedding at the Country Park Inn with Megan and Shaun

On Saturday we photographed the wedding of Megan and Shaun at the Country Park Inn, Hessle.

The riverside location provides a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography and we were lucky to have a sunny day.

We started our photography for the day with Megan and her bridemaids. Preparations began early for the ceremony at 11 o clock.

Shortly before we met up with Shaun and best man Josh to take some portraits before they headed inside to meet the registrars.

We then went back to see Megan and to complete her bridal portraits.

Once guests were assembled Megan was escorted down the aisle by dad Alan to meet her groom.

Following the service guests enjoyed a celebratory drink in the foyer before heading outside for the all important family group photographs. This is a special part of any wedding and captures precious memories for the couple.

The early start afforded us the luxury of time. This gave us plenty of opportunity to create some special photographs for Megan and Shaun.

The guests enjoyed afternoon tea with the happy couple before they all took a short break.

We met up afterwards with Megan and Shaun to conclude their couple portraits. Hessle Foreshore provides a stunning backdrop for photographs and we were pleased to have sufficient time to do it justice.

In the evening the couple were joined by more family and friends for the celebrations and the first dance.

Megan and Shaun are such a lovely couple and we very much enjoyed photographing their special day. We wish them every happiness in the future.

Pre Wedding Photoshoot with Hannah and James

On Friday morning we met up with Hannah and James who are getting married soon. It was a chilly morning and we started bright and early. It is almost eight months since we did our last pre wedding photography shoot, so it was lovely to be working again.

Hannah and James are planning an intimate wedding at Beverley Minster later this month. Numbers are restricted so there will be a live video stream for those who are unable to attend in person.  Our job will be to take the wedding photographs.

We had great fun working with Hannah and James who were very relaxed in front of the camera. As wedding photographers, we always offer a complimentary pre wedding photo shoot to all of our clients. It provides a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know them and a chance to see how they are in front of the camera.

The pre shoot helps to ensure that we offer the best possible photography service on the wedding day. It gives each couple a chance to get used to being in front of a professional photographer before the big day. This builds trust and confidence and ensures that we can always deliver excellent results.

Hannah and James are a delightful couple and we are looking forward to photographing their wedding.

Laura and Adam’s Elsham Hall Wedding

On Saturday we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Laura and Adam who were married at the fabulous Elsham Hall in Lincolnshire. The forecast for the day was a little unpredictable with heavy rain forecast, and the start of the day was very wet indeed! Laura and her bridesmaids began the day at the Forest Pines Hotel and we arrived in driving rain. All was calm inside, with hair and make up well under way when we arrived. Laura was calm and collected and was ready in her beautiful dress from Webtobe early enough for us to do her bridal portraits. Sometimes things run over at this part of the day, and it is such a shame because it can result in few, or in some cases no, bridal portraits. This was not the case for Laura who gave us exactly the amount of time we needed to capture her in all her glory. The room was a little small for the grandeur of our bride but we still managed to create some stunning portraits for her! Afterwards we headed outside to take our journey to Elsham. Once more the rain came down and when we arrived, the team at Bride Beautiful had everything under control with a bucket of umbrellas at the ready! We did our photographs of the groom and his best man Lee and usher Mark, under the recently constructed pergola entrance, so’s to protect them from the rain. Guests began to arrive and we waited excitedly at the bottom of the drive for the first sight of the wedding car which was provided by Silver Star Wedding Cars. The bride arrived and was escorted by dad Arthur and mum Pauline. The ceremony took place in the beautiful barn and afterwards the happy couple took a celebratory drive so that they could enjoy a few quiet moments together. By this time the rain had ceased and we were lucky to have some autumn sunshine to do the all important family group photographs. Afterwards we took a brief walk in the gardens with Laura and Adam, in order to do their couple portraits before they headed back into the barn to greet their guests, and start the celebrations. The barn looked stunning for the meal that was provided by Chris and the team at Your Chef, with guests from the wedding party undertaking carving duties in expert fashion! The traditional speeches followed the main course and after desert, guests headed into the Garden room to take tea, whilst the team from Bride Beautiful prepared the Barn for the evening celebrations. Laura and Adam cut their stunning cake from Dotty Cakes before taking to the floor for their first dance with music supplied by Power Play Discotheques Grimsby. Our thanks to Emma, Lynne, Tanya and Alex at Bride Beautiful who looked after everyone including us, perfectly. A big shout out to Chris from Your Chef who not only gave us a little bit of wriggle room when things ran over, but also provided us with a delicious hot meal, that was very welcome after nine hours on our feet! We had a lovely day with Adam and Laura, and we wish them every happiness in their future life together.

Hull Wedding Photographer at the Millhouse, Skidby with Lora & Dudley

Lora and Dudley were married on Saturday at the Millhouse Restaurant, Skidby. We had a wonderful day photographing their wedding. We started the day with Lora and her bridesmaids Becky, Lisa, Sophie, Tilly and Kylie who were all getting ready at the Mercure Grange Hotel, in Willerby, before heading out to meet Dudley and his groomsmen Clark, Loyd, Dan, Mark and Danny. After some quick portraits, the guests began to arrive and were whisked inside, before the bride arrived with her father, on a horse drawn carriage. There was much laughter during the service with both of the couples names providing a bit of a challenge and afterwards the guests enjoyed a celebratory drink, whilst the happy couple headed off for a romantic drive with a glass of champagne. As always, we whipped through the group photographs as quickly as possible, so that the couple could enjoy as much time as possible with their guests. A big thanks to the bridesmaids and the groomsmen who were great sports and very helpful rounding everyone on in super quick time. There was a huge cheer during the wedding breakfast, following by a chorus of ‘Old Faithful’ to celebrate the rugby result, after which the speeches commenced. The grooms brother Clark delivered a very entertaining and perfectly judged speech, with humour  and a touch of emotion. The evening reception was soon underway with more guests arriving and the couple took to the sparkling dance floor for their first dance. We had a truly wonderful day with Lora, Dudley and their family and friends, and we will them all every happiness in the future.

Wedding Photography with Kelly and Richard

I am pleased to share the preview wedding photography for Kelly and Richard who were married on Friday, at St Swithins Church in Sproately. We had a lovely day with them and their family and friends. Kelly looked beautiful and elegant in her dress from Jaynes of Doncaster and Richards suit was from T M Lewis. The were attended by bridesmaid Lucy who was great fun and a fantastic help throughout the day and best man Fred. Flowers were by the Daisy Chain, Skirlaugh and the cake was made for them by Boucakez of Preston. Our thanks to the vicar Jon, who is always so welcoming and makes our job so much easier. The weather was mostly on our side, though the wind played havoc with Kelly’s dress and veil! Just as we arrived at Wyton Abbey, there was a rumble of thunder and the heavens briefly opened! Bright summer sunshine soon followed and we were able to complete the photographs as planned outside. Kelly and Richard very much wanted their wedding photography to be as informal as possible and we had a lot of laughs during the photos of the bridal party. Guests enjoyed a celebratory drink and canapés before dinner and when they sat down to eat, we took a much needed break. The evening celebrations were soon underway and the happy couple took to the floor with their headphones for the ‘silent disco’. I have to say it was quite a surreal experience photographing everyone dancing when we couldn’t hear the music but it did make us chuckle!  Kelly and Richard are a really lovely couple and it was evident to everyone how much they love each other. We wish them every happiness in their future life together.
