Hull Wedding Photographer at the Millhouse, Skidby with Lora & Dudley

Lora and Dudley were married on Saturday at the Millhouse Restaurant, Skidby. We had a wonderful day photographing their wedding. We started the day with Lora and her bridesmaids Becky, Lisa, Sophie, Tilly and Kylie who were all getting ready at the Mercure Grange Hotel, in Willerby, before heading out to meet Dudley and his groomsmen Clark, Loyd, Dan, Mark and Danny. After some quick portraits, the guests began to arrive and were whisked inside, before the bride arrived with her father, on a horse drawn carriage. There was much laughter during the service with both of the couples names providing a bit of a challenge and afterwards the guests enjoyed a celebratory drink, whilst the happy couple headed off for a romantic drive with a glass of champagne. As always, we whipped through the group photographs as quickly as possible, so that the couple could enjoy as much time as possible with their guests. A big thanks to the bridesmaids and the groomsmen who were great sports and very helpful rounding everyone on in super quick time. There was a huge cheer during the wedding breakfast, following by a chorus of ‘Old Faithful’ to celebrate the rugby result, after which the speeches commenced. The grooms brother Clark delivered a very entertaining and perfectly judged speech, with humour  and a touch of emotion. The evening reception was soon underway with more guests arriving and the couple took to the sparkling dance floor for their first dance. We had a truly wonderful day with Lora, Dudley and their family and friends, and we will them all every happiness in the future.

Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer at Normanby Hall with Samantha and Kenny

We had a lovely day yesterday, doing the wedding photography for Samantha and Kenny, who were married at Holy Trinity Church in Barrow on Humber, and held their wedding reception at Normanby Hall. The day started bright and early with Samantha and her bridesmaids Karen, Linsey and Inessa and little flower girl Taylen.  Samantha was ready early for us which gave us some time to do her bridal portraits outside in the garden. The theme for the wedding was woodland fairies, and in keeping with this, the bride walked barefoot down the aisle to meet her groom Kenny, who looked very handsome in his army uniform. Samantha arrived at church in the car which originally belonged to her grandad, but was driven by Uncle Jason who also gave her away. The happy couple excited the church to the sound of the bells and following the group photographs, everyone headed off to Normanby Hall for a celebratory drink. Our portraits of the couple were done during a brief walk around the gorgeous gardens at Normanby Hall, and as always our time with them was brief and we had to return them to their family and friends. Samantha and Kenny are a lovely couple and we wish them every happiness in their life together and look forward to sharing their full collection of wedding photographs with them.

Wedding photography at the Mercure Grange with Hayley and Gareth

We had a wonderful day yesterday photographing the wedding of Hayley and Gareth at the Mercure Grange Hotel, in Willerby. We started the day at the brides parents house and were made very welcome by Ann and Kevin. The girls were busy getting ready and we got on with our shots of all of the carefully selected detail. Ann almost wore herself out before the day started, running up and down the stairs and making sure everyone had what they needed. Hayley looked stunning in her dress from Confetti and Lace in Leeds and her look was completed with the gorgeous flowers from Bo’Kay’s. Bridemaids, Clairm Natalie, Ellen, Lauren, Rachale, Mia, Ameira and Iyla looked so pretty in their dresses and the little ones had lots of fun pulling up grandmas plants in the garden and attacking grandads shed! We met up with Gareth, and his groomsmen at the hotel and quickly completed their portraits whilst guests began to arrive. The ceremony was soon underway and afterwards the happy couple enjoyed a celebratory drink with friends and family. We were a little pushed for time yesterday which meant that we had to crack on and get the formal group photographs done quickly. This was a bit of a challenge with the little flower girls who just wanted to play about and have fun! We had a lovely chat with Gareth’s Uncle John who had flown all the way from Australia the day before. After the meal Hayley and Gareth came outside and we had a quick twenty minutes within which to do their couple portraits. We had a great day working on this wedding and we wish Hayley and Gareth every happiness together in the future.

Hull Wedding Photographer at Rudstone Walk with Kerry & Dave

Congratulations to Kerry and Dave who were married on Friday at Rudstone Walk, East Yorkshire. This blog has taken me a little longer than it would do normally, which is surprising in one sense, since this was an intimate gathering of close family and friends. The reason it took me so long, is because there are so many lovely photographs to choose from. We started the day bright and early at Kerry’s mum and dads home. Debbie and Wim made us feel very welcome and the house was beautifully decorated in shades of cream and taupe, providing the perfect backdrop for photography. When we arrived, Kerry was having her hair done, but was soon being helped into her gorgeous Maggie Sottero dress, by her bridemaids Sammy and Iona. A quick car journey to Rudstone Walk, and we found the groom agreeing the final cues for the music, with Sandra and her team. It was very windy outside, but Dave, Sam and Ben laughed and joked with each other whilst we took their photographs. The early arrival of the bride with her father, gave us the perfect opportunity to grab some quick shots before she went inside for the ceremony. Guests enjoyed drinks outside in the Spring sunshine whilst we all sheltered in the courtyard area and completed the family and group photography. We had a really wonderful day and Kerry and Dave were just fantastic to work with. As always, there is never enough time to do everything you would like to do as a photographer, but Kerry, Dave, Sam, Ben, Iona and Sammy were kind enough to give us a bit more time once the meal was over. I am so pleased they did, because it gave David and I, time to create something a little bit different for this gorgeous couple. There are lots more lovely photographs to come and I am very much looking forward to sharing the rest of the collection with Kerry and Dave. Thank you guys – you were totally amazing!
