East Yorkshire Wedding Photographer at North Cliffe, with Helen and Robert

We had a lovely time on Sunday morning doing the pre wedding photography for Helen and Robert who are getting married at the beginning of April. We met up with them at the church, and had a quick chat with the vicar, before heading back to the farm to go over the arrangements for the big day. Helen and Robert’s marquee will be provided by All Occasions and our brief for the day is to focus on candid photography. With a very short list of formal groups, this will leave us to capture the day as it unfolds, and will mean that the couple can enjoy more time with their guests, rather than standing in a line for lots of posed pictures! Helen and Robert are a lovely couple and are very relaxed with one another, and this comes across on camera. We are very much looking forward to photographing their wedding.

Hull Wedding Photographer at the Ashbourne Hotel, North Lincolnshire with Shell & Mar

I am pleased to share with you the pre wedding photography for Shell and Mark, who are getting married at the Ashbourne Hotel, North Lincolnshire in April. We had a really lovely afternoon with Shell and Mark, which included a brief stroll in the surrounding lanes whilst we chatted about their big day. The Ashbourne Hotel is very chic and stylish, and the surrounding area provides some interesting and unusual backdrops for wedding photography. It is always good to get away from a traditional setting and to work with something a little bit different. the photography from this shoot will give a little insight into some of the things we are hoping to achieve for Shell and Mark on their wedding day. We are certainly looking forward to it!

Hull, East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer – BIPP Associate Panel

Last year, I was delighted to put together a set of wedding photographs that formed my qualifying submission to the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP). BIPP is an internationally recognised organisation with qualifications that offer a benchmark for excellence for professional photographers. Each qualification represents a level of expertise, skill and achievement in a given field. There are three levels of qualification each reflecting an increased level of experience and ability; Licentiate, Associate and Fellowship. I joined in 2014 as a provisional member with a requirement to submit a successful, qualifying portfolio within twelve months. The submission required a minimum of 25 images that had been taken at real weddings, with real fee paying clients. With the support of my mentor Kevin Wilson, the cooperation of my clients, and after a great deal of hard work, my panel was ready for submission early 2015. To my surprise and joy, I was awarded the Associate level! I share with you here, the images that achieved the Associate qualification in wedding photography. My thanks to the couples, throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, who choose me for their wedding photography as without them I would not have been able to put together this panel of wedding photography. I am now working towards achieving the Fellowship, one of the most coveted qualifications in wedding photography.

Hull Wedding Photographer at Lazaat with Benna & Alex

I am delighted to share with you the pre wedding photography, for Benna and Alex, who are getting married at Lazaat, Cottingham, in March. We had a lovely, bright spring morning for our photography session and here’s hoping that the sun shines just as brightly on their wedding day. It was great to chat with them about their plans and they were very relaxed in front of the camera. I am really looking forward to what will be the first wedding of the 2016 season. We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely couple to start the season with!

Hull Wedding Photographer at the Mercure Grange, Willerby, Hull with Diane & John

I am delighted to share with you our final wedding of 2015! Diane and John tied the knot at the Mercure Grange Hotel in Willerby. Timing was tight on this one, and with the ceremony due to take place at 3pm, we had made arrangements to do the couple portraits before the ceremony, as it would be dark afterwards. Diane and John were lucky with the weather as the sun shone and it was relatively mild for the time of year. The ceremony got underway a little late, due to what can only be described as a technical hitch, and the happy couple joined their guests for drinks and canapes afterwards. We had a  tight window within which to complete the group photographs and with lots of small children to round up, it was no mean feat! Guests were entertained during the meal by the Singers Bella and by this stage the party was well underway. We wish Diane and John every happiness together and look forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photographs with them.
