Laura & Paul’s Pre Wedding Photography, Elsham Hall, Lincolnshire

Here is the pre wedding photography for Laura and Paul who are getting married at the end of the month at one of our favourite venues for wedding photography; Elsham Hall.  We have done lots of wedding photography at Elsham Hall, but we are always looking for a different location at this lovely venue to do some photographs, and yesterday was no exception. As a wedding photographer, I like to work with each couple on the pre shoot, to find out what sort of wedding photography they are hoping for and it is always fantastic to find a couple who are really up for creating something a little bit different and are willing to give the time to do just that!  Laura and Paul were fantastic clients to work with, and were open to exploring the beautiful gardens at Elsham Hall and to trying out a few things with me!  For me, no photography shoot at Elsham would be complete without a couple of images at storytellers cottage and so we start the blog there. We spent a little bit longer on this shoot as we were all enjoying the walk and the afternoon, finding endless opportunities for the photographs. It was impossible to include them all on this blog but I have included a small selection. Needless to say, we will not be able to cover them all on the wedding day as time is always at a premium, but none the less, I am very much looking forward to working with Laura and Paul on their special day.  Watch this space!

Lesley and Christopher’s Wedding Photography – Yorkshire Dales

Congratulation to Lesley and Chris who were married yesterday in the Yorkshire Dales. What a fantastic backdrop the Yorkshire Dales provides for wedding photography and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Lesley and Chris chose The Priests House at Barden Tower as the location for their special day. We were spoilt for choice for the wedding photography at this fabulous venue but managed to make the most of everything it had to offer. The forecast was a little ominous at the beginning of the week, but thankfully it stayed dry and guests were escorted to the venue in a Vintage bus, along with the groom. The bride arrived in style in a beautiful old style Rolls Royce and was given away by her son, Jonathan and accompanied by her bridesmaid Debbie. The small and intimate ceremony included some poems written especially for the occasion and the happy couple were able to enjoy their celebratory drinks outside, following the formal proceedings. The best man Dave was a great help rounding everyone up for the group photographs and Lesley’s mum June, was determined to join us on the lawn, despite our assurances we would go to her! Lesley was a fantastic sport, donning her walking boots underneath her dress, in order to take a short hike, over a stile and into the field, so that we could get some photographs of her and Chris, with the ruin behind them. Not many brides would have been so game, and she was rewarded with a bit of a laugh when my David, having warned Lesley to watch her step, promptly missed his footing and did a spot of ‘bottom’ ski-ing down into the field! Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to capture that on camera! We had a really wonderful day photographing Lesley and Chris and we wish them a very happy future together.
