Jennifer & Matthews’ wedding photography by Hull Wedding Photographer, Joanne Gower

We have had a wonderful day doing the wedding photography for Jennifer and Matthew who were married today at St Lukes in Darrington. The day started bright and breezy with lots of beautiful autumn sunshine as we met up with Jennifer at home to do some bridal preparation shots. A quick trip down the motorway found us with Matthew and his groomsmen at the church. Following the service we did the group shots as quickly as possible with one eye on the clouds that loomed over head. A stylish Bentley took the couple to Wentbridge House where they held their wedding reception. By this time the clouds had come over but nothing could have prepared us all for what was to follow; thunder, lightning, hail and snow! We took shelter inside only for the venue to be plagued with a series of short power cuts which must have been due to the lightning. Despite all of this, the staff at Wentbridge looked after everyone beautifully and spirits were not dampened by the weather, if anything family and friends relished the opportunities provided for some rather candid and fun photographs inside! This is our last wedding of the summer season and to say it went off with a bang is an understatement! Jennifer and Matthew are a really lovely couple, their family and friends are fantastic and we couldn’t have wished for a nicer experience to round off what has been an amazing summer!  We cant wait to share the rest of the wedding photography with them.

Wedding Photography – Sally & Oliver in Skegness by Hull Wedding Photographer Joanne Gower

Here is the preview wedding photography for Sally and Oliver who were married today at Burley Marsh Church. There were a few hitches today from the groom having been given the wrong suit, to the wrong music for the brides arrival in church and of course the rain! Despite all of this, Sally and Oliver looked amazing and were happy to brave the elements as they exited the church under an umbrella in a major downpour! A flurry of brollies afforded the guests some shelter as they dashed to their cars before making their way to the Vine Hotel in Skegness for the wedding reception. Once at the venue the formal group shots were done inside and everyone sat down to enjoy their meal. A brief spell of sunshine gave us an opportunity to head outside to do a few quick photographs. Sally and Oliver are a lovely couple and we wish them much happiness together in the future.

Wedding Photography – Bryony & Callum at Rise Hall by Hull Wedding Photographer Joanne Gower

We have had a wonderful day doing the wedding photography for Bryony and Callum who were married today at All Saints Church and held their wedding reception at the fabulous Rise Hall. We arrived bright and early to find Bryony  calm, organised and ready to get into her dress. We took our usual detail shots and were then in seventh photography heaven as Bryony was ready early giving us plenty of time to do some photos of her with her bridesmaids in the room before she left. Callum was also bright and early at the church and we were able to do his photographs in the lovely autumn sunshine. The Reverand Andy Simpson delivered his usual entertaining and engaging service following which guests were eager to shower the happy couple with confetti! Rise Hall offers a stunning range of locations for wedding photography and Bryony and Callum were very gracious and gave us the opportunity to make the most of this stunning venue!  We wish this lovely couple every happiness and look forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photography with them.
